International Yoga Day Canada with the support of the Consulate General of India in Toronto is organizing the United Nations recognized International Day of Yoga on Sunday June 25, 2017 at the International Centre, Toronto. The program, which is expected to attract between 8,000 and 10,000 yoga enthusiasts from across the Greater Toronto Area, will be the largest congregation of yoga practitioners, at a single venue in North America practicing yoga.Baba Ramdev, the world-renowned yogi of Patanjali Yogpeeth, will lead the yoga session in the morning, breakout sessions with different stakeholder yoga organizations to be
followed by Sister Shivani of Brahma Kumaris who will conduct Raj yoga meditation sessions in the evening.Yoga and wellness institutions with a global footprint have joined the celebration as stakeholders. These institutions are Patanjali Yogpeeth, The Art of Living, the Brahma Kumaris, Sivananda Yoga, BKS Iyengar Yoga Association, the Isha Foundation, Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir. The event will be broadcasted live globally, reaching a vast number of yoga enthusiasts.
