Ambika Yoga Kutir was established in the year 1965 by Rev. Hathayogi Shri Nikam Guruji at his residence in Girgaum, Mumbai with few followers. Following the Guruji’s instructions, all yoga courses conducted at Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir give more weightage to cleansing processes (shuddhi kriyas) such as Dhouti, Neti, Kapalbhati, Trataka, Nauli and Basti, Suryanamaskar and some asana for physical cleansing and toning of muscles. Chanting of prayer, Gayatri Mantra, Omkar, discourses on Yama and Niyama help shape up the mind (i.e. mind cleansing). Astonishing results are obtained at all our centers through this set of yogic practices.
